Brazil Nature Restoration NatureBrain moves forward with a new origination milestone.
NatureBrain has closed its first project outside Spain — ARR NatureBrain Fazenda do Rio Negro, located in Maranhão, Brazil. The project covers 4,786 hectares with potential for 30 years of reforestation and revegetation. It also includes a projected 1,648,000 tons of carbon sequestration by 2056, supported by $28.5M USD in investment commitment.

Maranhão sits between the Amazon and Atlantic Forest biomes. This transitional zone is one of Brazil’s most important ecological interfaces. As a result, restoring Fazenda do Rio Negro has cascading biodiversity impact.
